Abdul Fatawu Safiu has written a heart touching farewell message to the Asante Kotoko fraternity after joining Swedish side Trellesborgs IF.
The 25-year old prolific attacker joined the Swedish second tier side on loan with option to sign a three-year deal.
On his Facebook timeline, the dead-ball ‘vampire’ posted “It was a great pleasure to have represented this great club. Within a short period, this club has given me everything I have ever dreamt of.
My appreciation goes to the board, technical staffs, teammates and of course not forgetting the love and support from the fantastic fans.
I wish the club and the fans all the best of success in the coming seasons and I know one day our path will cross again. Asante Kotoko Sporting Club.”
Abdul Fatawu Safiu became the fans favorite following his exploits in the last season’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign with Asante Kotoko and the just ended NC Special Competition.
He netted 10 goals for Asante Kotoko in the NC Special Competition tier 1 and was a joint topscorer with Karela United sensation Diawisie Taylor.
