Ashantigold Sporting Club playmaker Richard Djodi has joined Tanzania top-flight side Azam FC, Kyfilla.com has learnt.
The Ivorian inked a three-year deal with the Tanzania side as a free agent after contract with Ashantigold expired in June this year.
Djodi was linked to Asante Kotoko who were augmenting squad for next season’s CAF Champions League campaign but newly appointed coach Kjetil Zachariassen who worked with the Ivorian at Ashgold insisted he doesn’t need the services of the player.
His inclusion comes as a huge boost to Azam FC who are preparing for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
Djodi previously played for Guinea side AC Horoya and AC Leopards of Mali.
