Kumasi Asante Kotoko forward, Songne Yacouba remains doubtful for their fierce battle against bitterest rival, Accra Hearts of Oak in the semi-finals of the NC Special Competition tier one.
The Porcupine Warriors will continue their hunt for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup ticket against the Continental Club Masters on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Giving an update on the team’s injury situation, head coach for Asante Kotoko, Charles Kwablah Akonnor stated that, he is not certain whether the Burkinabe import will feature for the team in the Hearts of Oak clash.
“Songne Yacouba is still recovering, not sure whether he can play in Hearts game. The other players are also recovering very well”, Akonnor told Light FM.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will go to the game without their first-choice shot-stopper, Felix Annan who is on national team assignment but will have leading topscorer in the Special Competition, Abdul Fatawu Shafiu present after being dropped from the Black Stars squad for the AFCON 2019 in Egypt.
