Former Hearts of Oak defender Bashiru Hayford has revealed how coach Bashiru Hayford denied him a chance to join the Black Stars B during his days at Kessben FC now Medeama SC.
Agyare was a top figure for Kessben FC and a pillar at defence for the team in the Ghana Premier League which earned him lots of Black Stars B call up.

But he couldn’t join the Black Stars B again till the end of his career after coach Bashiru Hayford denied him a ticket to the national team.
The former Berekum Arsenal defender narrated on Silver FM in an interview with Francis Akwaffo that, coach Bashiru Hayford cost him a chance to join the Black Stars B after letting him train with the reserve team of Kessben FC then.
He narrated that, “I returned from the local Black Stars (Black Stars B) camp but I was not having enough playing time despite having call-ups. So there came a time that we were told to be a regular at our club team before given a call-up to the local Black Stars again.

“So I returned to Kessben FC from the local Black Stars but even before leaving for the national team, I was a starter at Kessben FC but when a returned to Kessben FC, coach Bashiru Hayford told me to train with the reserve team and that cost him a chance to join the local Black Stars again.

Kofi Agyare is famously known for his sack at Hearts of Oak after bribery allegations against mounted against him when the Phobians played his former club Kessben FC.
He played for Berekum Arsenal, Kessben FC, Hearts of Oak and Medeama SC and host of other clubs before hanging his boots.
