JoyNews’ Fred Smith contracts Coronavirus

Fred Smith, an editor for JoyNews of the Multimedia Family has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.

He tested positive for the devastating disease after the result of his second test was confirmed to him at midday of Monday, June 29, 2020.

Fred Smith who is also head of JoyNews Health Desk made the announcement on his Twitter page which reads, “At around midday today, it was confirmed to me that my second Covid-19 test came out POSITIVE. So Positive I am.

He becomes the latest from Multimedia to test positive for Coronavirus after Gary Al-Smith and four other journalists at the Ghanaian media firm.
