Hasaacas were succumbed to a painful 1:2 defeat to Nzema Kotoko in the MTN FA Cup preliminary round at the Sekondi Sports Stadium today.

Despite getting the opener through Justus Torsutsey in the early minutes of the game, Nzema Kotoko were very impressive throughout the first half of the game.
Sekondi Hasaacas were the better side in the early minutes of the game, torturing the defense of the visitors with an intensive pressure untill Torsutsey had the opener.
The goal poacher broke the deadlock for the 1977 Ghana Premier League champions in the 18th minute courtesy a sumptuous pass from Obed Kofi Sam.
The Nzema based side came back strong to detect the pace of the game though Hasaacas has some decent chances.

Referee Peter Ansah Teye blew his whistle for the first half break with Hasaacas leading by a goal to nil.
Nzema Kotoko returned from the recess to showcase a mind-blowing performance despite playing as visitors with less fans.
Coach Henry Wellington’s side continued dominating the possession until midfielder Ali Muftawu has the equaliser with a perfect strike, which Hasaacas goalkeeper Anthony Brebo failed to prevent the ball from entering his net.
Hasaacas experienced goal seeker Samuel Afful nearly brought the home side to the lead again but his strike was beautifully saved by Kotoko netminder Tijani Musah.
Akese Akese had a nice strike but the ball per the referee’s discretion hit the hand of Hasaacas defender Theophilus Nana Awortwe, awarding Kotoko a penalty.
Poster boy for the Nzema Kotoko side Agyenim Boateng converted the ball beautifully to give the visitors the lead.
In the dying embers of the game, Hasaacas mounted an unease pressure on Kotoko defense, trying their best for the equaliser.
Obed Kofi Sam hit in a cross which in the penalty box of Kotoko but Obed Asamoah Ackah’s header was nicely saved by goalkeeper Tijani Musah.
The game eventually ended 1:2 in favour of the visitors who have progressed to the next stage of the MTN FA Cup competition.
