Asante Kotoko four players and officials who contracted Covid-19 have tested negative

Asante Kotoko have announced that four of their players and officials who contracted the devastating coronavirus have tested negative after days in isolation.

It would be recalled that four players and four officials of the Ghana Premier League giant tested positive for Coronavirus at the Kotoka International Airport upon their return from Sudan after CAF Champions League game against Al Hilal.

They were subsequently isolated and quarantined but after few days the club haa announced that second test have proven negative.

“All eight officials and players in isolation have tested negative for Covid 19. They have therefore been cleared by the Covid 19 Response Team”, a statement from Asante Kotoko reads.

This comes as great news to Asante Kotoko who are preparing for CAF Confederation Cup tie against Algerian side ES Setif.

Asante Kotoko host ES Setif in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup playoffs at the Accra Sports Stadium in February before the reverse fixture in Setif.
