Asante Kotoko striker William Opoku Mensah is set to leave the Ghana Premier League club.
According to multiple reports, the talented goal poacher has only 29 days left on his contract with Asante Kotoko and may leave when the contract elapsed.[ads2]
Opoku Mensah joined Asante Kotoko on a year loan deal in January, 2020 after an unsuccessful spell at Swoop Park Rangers in the United States of America.
Considering his form at Karela United before leaving for the United States, Opoku Mensah was tipped to solve the striking crisis at Asante Kotoko especially when Songne Yacouba was leaving.[ads3]
But since joining the Porcupine Warriors, the former Karela United talisman has not been getting enough playing time due to the presence of Osman Ibrahim, Kwame Opoku, Evans Adomako and Naby Keita Laryea.
It is believed that, Asante Kotoko may not renew the contract of the prolific striker when it elapsed.[ads4]
Should he leave, William Opoku Mensah will become the latest player to leave Asante Kotoko this year after Maxwell Baakoh, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Richard Arthur and host of other players.[ads5]
