Asante Kotoko newly signed striker William Opoku Mensah scored a brace in the club’s friendly against lower tier side Kumawuman at the Adako Jachie training complex on Tuesday afternoon.

The friendly was to prepare Kotoko as they face arch rivals Hearts of Oak in week six of the Ghana Premier League in Accra on Sunday.
Goals from William Opoku Mensah and Kingsley Osei Effah ensured that Kotoko walked away as 4:1 winners.
Osei Effah opened the deadlock in the 16th minute before William Opoku Mensah doubled the lead in the 52nd minute of the game with a header from Sam Adams cross.
Osei Effah netted his second goal in just two minutes after Opoku Mensah’s goal.

In the 87th minute, Kumawuman pulled a consolation but Opoku Mensah once again increased the lead to 4:1 in favor of Asante Kotoko.
