Songne Yacouba was left out from Kotoko squad to face WAFA SC despite Naby Keita’s unfortunate injury.

The Burkinabe international has been in a tussle with the management of the club after failing to renew his contract which expire in April this year.
The former Stade Malian forward has held several meetings with Kotoko management for a contract renewal but the team has refused to meet the player’s $150,000 demand.
According to several reports in the media, Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu requested for the service of the player in their Premier League week eight fixture against WAFA on Wednesday.
Per the reports, Kotoko management declined Maxwell Konadu his request to include the striker in their 20-man squad for the midweek trip to Sogakope.

The declination has seen Kotoko presenting only two attackers ( Richard Arthur & William Opoku Mensah) for their game against WAFA and weekend fixture against Dreams FC at Dewu.
Songne Yacouba has been sidelined by Kotoko management since their game against Medeama Sporting Club at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.

Yacouba has only capped five matches for Kotoko this season without scoring a goal.
