The Western Regional Football Association has received $4,000 from the Ghana FA which is the first tranche of the FIFA Covid-19 Relief Fund.
It would be recalled that both FIFA and CAF promised to give member associations $1.8million as part of their support to member associations hit by the novel Coronavirus.

The Ghana FA announced that all the ten Regional Football Associations will receive $10,000 each but will be $4,000 for the first tranche and $6,000 for the second tranche which will be available in January, 2021.
Speaking exclusively to Kyfilla.com, the Chairman of the Western Regional Football Association, Simon Ehomah confirmed that the money has hit the account of the association but the Executive Committee will sit down and deliberate on the disbursement.

“Yes it’s true that the money has arrived. It is $4,000 as promised by the GFA. The ExCo will meet and discuss on how to disburse it”, Simon Ehomah told Kyfilla.com when the Executive Committee of the Western Regional Football Association met all the district football association chairmen at the Gyandu Park in Sekondi on Thursday.
