The Chief Executive Officer of Nkoranza Warriors, Hope Amaglo has said his outfit can’t guarantee the safety of any team from the Northern Region in the Nkoranza.
This was after Nkoranza Warriors game against Real Tamale United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on last Sunday.
Nkoranza Warriors were beaten 2:1 by Real Tamale United on Sunday at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale with the supporters of the home reportedly assaulting the players and officials of the away team.
Confirming this in an interview on Sunyani-based Service Radio, Mr. Amaglo stated that after the cagey encounter, the supporters of Real Tamale United physically assaulted the players and officials of Nkoranza Warriors despite their team winning the game.
“I approached the referee after the game to apologise for the behavior of my players when all of a sudden the supporters rushed to the field, asking me why I was talking to the referee then everything started”, he said.
Mr. Amaglo added that, “Infact I can’t assure RTU and any team from the Northern Region their safety in Nkoranza in any competition.”
He however called on the Ghana Football Association to open an investigation on the incident and punished anyone found culpable…[ads5]
