Ghana’s all-time leading topscorer Asamoah Gyan was mobbed by his supporters during the final funeral rites of Dr. Kwaku Oteng’s mother Obaapanyin Cecilia Mensah.

The funeral which saw thousands of sympathizers, had in attendance the President of Ghana Akufo-Addo and his Vice Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and other Ghanaian celebrities.
Asamoah Gyan was among the Ghanaian celebrities who attended the funeral to help Dr. Kwaku Oteng mourn his mother.
It was overwhelming when scores of supporters of the former Sunderland attacker trooped to the funeral grounds to take pictures with him in the mix of the crowd.
Gyan was overwhelmed with the kind of love the supporters showed him during the funeral grounds.

He was earlier mobbed in Kumasi when he landed for his Baby Jet U-16 tournament and this time mobbed at the funeral grounds of Dr. Kwaku Oteng’s mother.
Meanwhile, Gyan has been out of action for Indian top division side NorthEast United due to injury but has recovered and expected to return to the pitch soon.
