Ghana was disqualified in the 4×100 men’s relay final in the ongoing Olympic Games on Friday afternoon.
Ghana, the only African country in the relay final in the competition was disqualified for a baton change violation.[ads2]
Italy came first, followed by Great Britain with Canada placing third while People’s Republic of China, Jamaica, Germany and Japan followed in that order.
Ghana finished last of the race and also got disqualified.
As it stands now, Ghana has gotten only a medal in the competition kind courtesy boxer Samuel Takyi who won bronze after reaching the quarterfinals.[ads5]
