Hearts of Oak have set-up a three-member Committee to investigate bribery allegations mounted against board member Alhaji Akambi.
It would be recalled that former scribe of Hearts of Oak Chapters Committee, Paa Kofi Sunsum made an allegation that Alhaji Akambi had a hand in the club’s failure to sign Nkoranza Warriors midfielder Emmanuel Sarkodie.

He revealed that Alhaji Akambi collected a meagre ¢200 from Nkoranza Warriors CEO Kuuku Barthels to facilitate a move for Emmanuel Sarkodie, who was on the verge of signing for the Phobians but later swerved them to sign for arch rivals Asante Kotoko.
As part of getting to the bottom of the issue, the Hearts of Oak board have appointed a three-member Committee headed by Justice Ivy Heward-Mills to investigate the case.

The Committee have also been tasked to advise the board during the course of their investigations on whether Alhaji Akanbi should step aside or not.
Other members of the Committee are Misters Frank Nelson and Frederick Moore.
