Ghana winger Tarique Fosu will be missing the country’s upcoming world cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa.
Ghana face Ethiopia in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers on September 3 before traveling to Johannesburg to play South Africa three days later.[ads2]
But the West African country will go into the two games without enterprising winger Tarique Fosu.
According to the Ghana FA, the Brentford winger has been excused from the upcoming assignments to sort out his future with the English side.
MSK Milina right-back, Benson Anang has also been ruled out of the two games after sustaining an injury.[ads3]
In their absence, coach CK Akonnor has invited Hearts of Oak defender Fatawu Mohammed alongside Great Olympics’ Samuel Ashie Quaye.
“Slovakia based Benson Annan has been ruled out of the two World Cup qualifiers after picking up an injury over the weekend We wish Benson a speedy recovery,” wrote the FA on Twitter.
“Samuel Ashie Quaye (Great Olympics), Fatau Mohammed (Hearts of Oak) called up by Coach Charles Akonnor. Brentford City winger Tarique Fosu is excused from the upcoming assignments to sort out his future with the club,” added the FA.[ads5]
