In a bid to ensure SWAG vibrant in all the sixteen regions and bring all journalists in the country under one umbrella, the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) will be inaugurating its Western Regional branch on Saturday, September 5, 2020.
The event will be held at the Naakof Hotel in Takoradi with the President of SWAG Kwabena Yeboah and his National Executives in attendance.
This will become the fifth branch of SWAG after Volta, Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and Eastern Region.

The event will have in attendance the Western Regional Minister and MP for Takoradi, Dr. Kobby Okyere-Darko, Minister for Railways and MP for Essikado-Ketan Hon. Joe Ghartey, Executive Director of GNPC Foundation Dr. Dominic Eduah, Western Regional Sports Authority boss Mr. Joseph Alarbi Bortey, Professor Ramos Asafo-Adjei who is a senior lecturer at the Takoradi Technical University and host of other dignitaries present.
