Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala ahead of the 2022/23 league season.
The 23-year old has joined the Porcupine Warriors on a two-year deal as a free agent after fruitful negotiations.
Announcing the capturing of the bulky goal poacher, Asante Kotoko stated in a statement on their twitter page that, “The Ugandan joins us on a free transfer for a period of two years with an option to extend for a further year.”
Mukwala has joined the Ghana Premier League champions as replacement for Cameroonian striker Franck Mbella Etouga who is reportedly on the verge of joining Serie A outfit Udinese Calcio.
Mukwala netted 13 goals in 26 games for Uganda Revenue Authority SC (URA) in the Ugandan league last season, propelling the club to finish third with 55 points at the end of the campaign.
He has been expected to solidify the Asante Kotoko attack for the next season’s CAF Champions League campaign.
Mukwala has previously played for Vipers and Maroons FC in Uganda..
