Chinese television company StarTimes have secured the rights to telecast the Ghana Premier League.

They have beaten off competition from companies like state-owned Ghana Broadcasting Corporation for the rights.
StarTimes had their initial ten-year rights as the broadcasters of the league abrogated by the GFA after the new administration assumed office.
A statement on their official Facebook page reads, “StarTimes has acquired the TV rights to broadcast the Ghana Premier League. Stay connected for more details. It’s a good time to be on StarTimes!

The deal is expected to be announced on Friday January 10 in a special press conference and will see StarTimes produce their first Ghana Premier League match on Sunday.
