The Youth and Sports Ministry says it will extend support to Ghana’s Amputee men’s football team, left stranded in Tanzania.
The Ghana Amputee Team (Black Challengers) spanked Liberia in the final game of the tournament to win the African Amputee Football Cup of Nations in Tanzania.[ads2]
But after winning the tournament, the Black Challengers have been unable to return to Ghana due financial difficulties, hence the ministry decision to offer support to the team.
In a press statement, the Ministry also revealed that, the team failed to inform the sports ministry about their participation in the games.[ads3]
The ministry has urged the National Sports Authority (NSA) to adress the current conflict which has engulfed the leadership of the Amputee Football Federation.
