The Youth and Sports Ministry has congratulated the Black Satellites for winning the 2020 WAFU U-20 Zone B Cup in Benin.
Ghana defeated Burkina Faso 2:1 in the grand finale on Saturday afternoon to win the giant trophy.[ads2]
Goals from Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Precious Boah ensured victory for Ghana with Kouame Jean Fiacre Botue scoring the consolation for Burkina Faso.
In a statement, the Sports Ministry headed by its Minister Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah have congratulated coach Karim Zito and his charges for winning the giant trophy.[ads3]
Ghana has not only won the giant trophy but has qualified to the 2021 Africa Youth Championship in Mauritania.
Ghana has joined host Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Gambia and nine other teams for next year’s U20 Afcon which runs between February 14 and March 4.[ads4]
The top four teams at the continental championship will secure a qualification ticket for the 2021 Fifa U20 World Cup in Indonesia
