The Shama District Football Association under the Western Regional Football Association has received Gh¢10,000.00 from Lower Pra Rural Bank as part of support towards the district’s division three and juvenile competitions in the 2022/23 league season.[ads2]
The financial support from the local bank with its headquarters in Shama was brokered by the chairman of the district football association, Professor George Kuntu Blankson with the sole aim of easing the burden of clubs under his jurisdiction.
The money has been released to the account of the Shama District FA which will be used as a support fund for the division three and juvenile competitions in the 2022/23 league season.[ads3]
Announcing the benevolent gesture by Lower Pra Rural Bank, Professor Kuntu Blankson said “as the chairman for the Shama District Football Association, I would like to commend Lower Pra Rural Bank for their immersed charitable gestures.”
He added that, “I will encourage other cooperate bodies and organisations to follow the steps of Lower Pra by supporting youth and development in the country, and I believe this support will go a long round to affect generations. We look forward to having a wonderful impactful season.”[ads4]
Meanwhile, the 2022/23 Shama District Football Association’s division three and juvenile league has been scheduled for January 7, 2023.[ads5]
