Retired Ghanaian FIFA referee L.O Laryea has joined his maker on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, the retired referee died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra after battling a short illness.
Laryea was a renowned FIFA referee who was later appointed as the manager in the Referees Department of the Ghana Football Association.

He died at aged 77.
L.O. Laryea was the grandfather for FIFA referee Daniel Laryea and the father of another famous referee David Laryea.
