Mampong as affectionately called is said to have passed on this afternoon at the hospital.
Per reports reaching Kyfilla.com, he collapsed at their shop in Apowa, a suburb in Takoradi and was rushed to the hospital where he gave up the ghost.[ads2]
Mampong was part of the Sekondi Eleven Wise squad that qualified for the Ghana Premier League in the 2009/2010 season.
He played with the likes Yaw Nyarko, Stephen Aidoo, Angelo Dedon, Edmund Sakyi, James Bissue, Amonoo Johnson and host of others.[ads3]
