Richmond Boakye Yiadom has been ruled out of Ghana’s AFCON qualifiers double-header against Sudan due to injury
The 27-year old attacker sustained an injury during Red Star Belgrade league game against rivals Partizan Belgrade in the Serbia league.

According to reports from the medical team of the Serbian side, Boakye Yiadom will spend about three weeks at the treatment room.
The former Sassuolo forward was among the Black Stars 23-man squad for 2021 AFCON double-header qualifiers against Sudan.
His absence means coach CK Akonnor has to immediately replace him in the Black Stars squad before March 27 where Ghana will host the Sudanese at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Boakye Yiadom made his debut for the Black Stars in August 2012 during a friendly with China and even went ahead to score in that game.
Since then, he has featured fourteen times for the Black Stars and was even part of the Ghana U-20 squad that won bronze during the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
