Former Ghana international, Nii Odartey Lamptey has resigned has head coach of Elmina Sharks, according to reports.
The former Aston Villa midfielder has resigned from the Ghana Premier League outfit after 3:1 defeat to Eleven Wonders in Techiman last weekend.[ads2]
Reasons for his resignation remains unknown but media reports indicate that Odartey Lamptey tendered in his letter to the management of the Elmina-based club on Monday, November 29, 2021.[ads3]
He joined Elmina Sharks in February, 2021 after the departure of coach Yaw Acheampong alongside his assistant Felix Aboagye and goalkeepers’ coach Nana Mbrah.
Lamptey played for Aston Villa, RSC Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven, Coventry City amongst others during his heydays.[ads5]
