Former Ghana defender Lee Addy is on the verge of joining Berekum Chelsea according to reports reaching Kyfilla.com.
The 32-year old has reportedly reached an agreement with Berekum Chelsea ahead of the next league season
Lee Addy, a former Red Star Belgrade defender is joining Berekum Chelsea on a free transfer after returning from Ethiopia.
He began his career in 2007 where he played for Nania FC before joining Bechem United in 2018.
After explosive performance in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Lee Addy moved to Europe to play with Serbian SuperLiga club Red Star Belgrade and was a regular centre-back at both his club and the Ghana national team.
After two years in Serbia, Lee Addy completed a three-year deal with newly promoted Chinese Super League side Dalian Aerbin on a reported transfer fee of $2.2 million.
He was loaned to Dinamo Zagreb in 2013 and went ahead to sign a permanent deal with the club in 2014.
He left Dinamo Zagreb in 2015 to join FK Čukarički on a year deal before joining Free State Stars in South Africa in 2019 but terminated the contract after only three months.
He made his debut for the Ghanaian national team as part of a domestic-based team that played a friendly against Argentina in 2009.
Addy was part of the Ghana national squad at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations having played four matches including the lost final against Egypt.
