Asante Kotoko striker Songne Yacouba is on the verge of sealing a deal with fellow premiership side Aduana Stars.

According to report in the local media, representatives of the Burkina Faso international would meet Aduana Stars officials this weekend to discuss his possible transfer.

Yacouba will have his contract with Kotoko expire in April this year and the player is eager to move away from the team.

The 28-year old has held several meetings with the management of Kotoko for contract renewal but the club have refused to meet the $150,000 demands of the player.
Due to his demands, he has been excluded for the team’s squad in the Ghana Premier League campaign despite showing up at training.

Yacouba is yet to make a return to the pitch for Kotoko since their week five fixture against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
There is also a report that, Hearts of Oak have shown interest in the Burkinabe import as they plan to strengthen their attack.
