Veteran actor Psalm Adjeteyfio has landed in another trouble, this time around with the Electricity Company of Ghana.
According to the actor, the power distribution company is chasing him over Gh¢8000 electricity bills debt.
This comes few weeks after the one-time popular actor pleaded with the general public for financial assistance to settle his rent of Gh¢3000.00.[ads2]
The video of the veteran actor went viral and touched many hearts which saw many donors including the Vice President, Alhaji Bawumia coming to his aide.
It was the Vice President of the republic, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia who became the first to offer a financial support of Gh¢50,000 to the actor with Gh¢30,000 as house rent and Gh¢20,000 for upkeep.[ads3]
This was followed by the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey who in a statement, stated that he was inspired by the movies of the veteran Ghanaian actor, and pledged to offer Psalm Adjeteyfio a monthly salary of Gh¢1,500 till January, 2025 when his tenure as the member of the eight parliament will come to an end.
And just after the donations comes with ECG chasing the veteran actor over electricity bills of Gh¢8,000.00.[ads4]
According to the actor, the power distribution company came with a bill of Gh¢4000 of which he was able to settled that.
He said he was later presented another bill of Gh¢2,100 and having enough money on him, he was able to pay that amount.
And thinking that was the last bill, he has been slapped with another bill of Gh¢8,000.00 of which he is now unable to pay.
In a video, Mr. Adjeteyfio pleaded for support to enable him settle the bill being bombarded on him by Electricity Company of Ghana.[ads5]
