The Western Region Football Association on Thursday, March 12, 2020 undertook a massive clean-up exercise at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi.

The exercise which was an initiative of the Regional Football Association boss Mr. Simon Ehomah was aimed igniting passion for the game of football.
Mr. Ehomah led a delegation comprising of some of the Executive Committee members, heads of the District Football Associations, club administrators, coaches, footballers and some media practitioners in the Western region to execute the exercise.
They weeded, mobbed the floors, swept, distilled gutters, removed cobwebs etc to bring the hospital to a shinny state.

After the exercise, the Association donated fruits such as pineapples, watermelon, oranges, bananas among others to the children’s and maternity wards of the hospital.
Speaking during the donation exercise, Mr. Simon Ehomah reiterated that the aim of the entire exercise is to ignite passion for the game of football just as the slogan of the Ghana Football Association goes.
Notable personalities who took part in the exercise include Mr Jacob Wemegah & Mr. Bismark Owusu Mensah who are Members of the Executive Committee, Andy K Eshun, the Special Assistant to WRFA boss Simon Ehomah, Mr. Kwesi Annan, Mr. George Kuntu Blankson, the SHAMA FA Chairman, Julius Ben Emunah, the Secretary of the WRFA, Coach Mustapha Fudail of Future Stars, George Duah of Sekondi Hasaacas among others.
Media practitioners who participated in the exercise include Kenneth Abban Jnr of Kyfilla.com, Mr. Kweku Sagoe & Amy-Fynn Thompson of Rok FM, Emmanuel Kwesi Koomson & Daniel Donkor of Kingdom FM, Solomon Amakwah of Kyzz FM, Alfred Takyi Mensah & Ampofo Kumi-Wilson of Connect FM among others.
