Pathways on Friday November 14 held its latest Pathway Partner Hangout at the Nii Teiko Tsuru Astro Turf in Adabraka, bringing together individuals who, despite never playing football at the professional level, remain deeply connected to the sport.
The event, staged between 3pm and 5pm, created a vibrant atmosphere where participants engaged in friendly football games, mentorship sessions, and open conversations aimed at inspiring personal and professional growth. The initiative is designed to offer a space for people who love the game but did not pursue professional careers, allowing them to reconnect with their passion while building valuable networks.

Beyond the football itself, the afternoon featured exchanges of insights on career development, life lessons, and the role of sport in building discipline and leadership. Participants also had the opportunity to strengthen relationships within the Pathways community and form new connections with like-minded individuals.
Key highlight of the afternoon was a mentorship session led by Ryan Bediako, CEO of 7even Sports Group. He interacted with participants on career readiness, football intelligence and personal discipline, and announced that his company will be offering real opportunities to players who demonstrate potential and commitment.

The hangout also acknowledged the vision of Jeremie Frimpong, Liverpool defender and founder of Pathways, whose support continues to shape the programme’s mission of empowerment and community building. His initiative has opened doors for many young people seeking direction both on and off the field.
Execution of Friday’s event was led by Kirpal Aboagye-Donkor Pathways’ Ghana Regional Manager, whose coordination ensured a smooth and engaging experience for all involved. His role in mobilising partners and participants contributed significantly to the event’s success.

The hangout reaffirmed Pathways’ commitment to using football as a platform for learning, mentorship and connection.
With growing interest from partners and community members, the event is likely to become a regular feature on the organisation’s calendar.

The lively gathering at the Adabraka astro turf reinforced the enduring influence of football in shaping relationships and providing a platform for inspiration both on and off the field.
