The coach of the Senior National Team Otto Addo has called up five young debutants to join the Black Stars for the 2025 Unity Cup in London.
Due to the completion of the football season in Europe and other parts of the world, most BlackStars players were unable to make it to the tournament. This has helped the coach and the management of the National to give other young footballers a chance to also exhibit and showcase their talents.
The new players who were invited by the coach are, Joseph Tetteh Anang – goalkeeper from St. Patrick’s Athletic (Ireland), Abdul Aziz Issah – midfielder from Barcelona B (Spain), Aaron Essel – defender from North Texas SC (USA), Caleb Yirenkyi – defender from FC Nordsjaelland (Denmark), and Mohammed Gadafi Fuseini – midfielder from Union St. Gilloise (Belgium)
These players will join the team in London this week for the four-nation tournament on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
The BlackStars will lock horns with their fierce rivals Nigeria Super Eagles at the G tech Community Stadium.
