Ghana Premier League heavyweight, Asante Kotoko have landed the acquisition of midfield dynamo Justice Blay.
The 29-year old has rejoined the Porcupine Warriors on a two-year deal after leaving Medeama Sporting Club.[ads2]
A statement from Kotoko reads, “We have re-signed midfielder @JusticeBlay_ on a 2-year deal. He’ll be eligible to participate in the 21/22 season from Feb 1, 2022. Blay will be unveiled before our game against Medema at Baba Yara Stadium tomorrow. Akwaba Chief Justice.”
Blay has joined Asante Kotoko as a free agent after the expiration of his contract with Medeama SC earlier this month.[ads3]
Justice Blay started his professional career at Sekondi Hasaacas and made his debut in the Ghana Premier League in 2016 when he made a total of 14 appearances for the 1977 Ghana Premier League title winners and scored only one goal.
Following a successful campaign at Hasaacas, Justice Blay caught the attention of Medeama who signed him in the following season into their squad.
On his debut season for Medeama SC, Justice Blay made a total of 15 league appearances and scored once.[ads4]
In 2019, Asante Kotoko completed the signing of the midfielder on a season-long loan deal, and while at Kotoko featured in the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
Blay scored 2 goals in 12 appearances for Kotoko in the cancelled 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season, but in 2020 he reverted from Kotoko to Medeama after the expiration of his loan contract.
