Hearts of Oak defender, Nuru Sulley, has joined Iraqi outfit Erbil Sports Club ahead of the new league season.
The 29-year old has joined the Iraqi top-flight side on a season-long loan deal with option to make the contract permanent.[ads2]
Despite Erbil SC announcing the signing of the experienced center-back, Hearts of Oak insist they have not transferred the defender to any club.
Sulley didn’t had enough playing time last season under new head coach Samuel Boadu due to a top form from Mohammed Alhassan and Robert Addo Sowah in the heart of defence for the reigning Ghana Premier league champions.[ads3]
He has returned to Iraq since 2019 where he played for Al Mina’a SC and Naft Al-Basra.
He has also played for Al Ittihad Tripoli and Al-Nasr Benghazi in Libya before joining Turkish side Alanyaspor where he spent four years.
He capped 16 matches for Hearts of Oak last season.[ads5]
