The Communication Director of Berekum Chelsea, Isaac Amponsah has denied reports of Zakaria Fuseini joining either Hearts of Oak or Legon Cities FC, stressing that no Ghanaian club can afford the defender.
There were several reports in the media that, Hearts of Oak and Legon Cities FC are desirous of signing the dependable defender for the new league season.

According to the reports, the two Ghana Premier League clubs have been in crunch talks with the management of Berekum Chelsea for the services of their skipper and defender Zakaria Fuseini who was splendid during the just cancelled 2019/20 league season.
Denying the reportage on Kumasi-based Ashh FM, Mr. Isaac Amponsah stated that Berekum Chelsea are not in talks with any club for Zakaria Fuseini and no Ghanaian club can afford the transfer fee of the defender.

He stated that, “No club in Ghana can afford BerekumChelsea defender Zakaria Fuseini’s transfer fee.”
Zakaria Fuseini has been a pillar at the backlines set-up of the 2010 Ghana Premier League champions since joining them in 2016.

It is believed that the Black Meteors guardsman favors a move abroad as clubs from the United States have showed gross interest.
He was part of the Black Meteors squad that participated in the 2019 Under-23 AFCON tournament in Egypt.
