Former AshantiGold SC head coach, Ernest Thompson Quartey has said it will be difficult for any coach to succeed with the club with Ricardo Da Rocha as the technical director.
According to Ernest Thompson, the technical director of the club, Ricardo Da Rocha has been sabotaging coaches that join the team, which according him has been the reason why most coaches recently fail to achieve with the club.[ads2]
“No coach can succeed at AshantiGold with Da Rocha as the technical director. He has no certificate that qualifies him to handle any team in the premier league. He is a liar, and a pretender who smiles at you but inwardly against any decision that a coach takes. Before I even joined the team, that was the information I gathered and he is the reason why most coaches fail to succeed at the club”, Ernest Thompson said in an interview.
This comes hours after his sacking as the head coach of the Obuasi-based club after just two months in charge of the team.[ads3]
Ernest Thompson has been sacked after AshantiGold SC defeat to King Faisal FC in matchday three of the Ghana Premier League on last Sunday.[ads4]
The former Ebusua Dwarfs gaffer managed only three games as AshantiGold SC, winning one, drawing one and losing one.
He was appointed head coach of AshantiGold in October this year, replacing Romain Folz on substantive basis.
Ernest Thompson Quartey has become the first coach to lose his job this season after only three matches.[ads5]
