Renovation works would soon be carried on the deplorable Nkawkaw Sports Stadium to an international standard.
The stadium has not enjoyed any facelift for decades which has gingered some residents to turn it into a maize farm.

In view to revamp the edifice, the National Sports Authority and the Youth and Sports Ministry have begun steps to renovate the stadium.
The Director-General of the National Sports Authority, Professor Peter Twumasi held a crunch meeting with the management of the Middle Belt Development Authority in Kumasi on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 for the renovation works to begin as soon as possible.

The meeting was to finalize arrangements between the Sports Authority and the Youth and Sports Ministry as well as the Middle Belt Development Authority for the renovation works to begin soon.
The Nkawkaw Sports Stadium was serving as the home venue for Okwahu United in their Premiership days before they were relegated to the division one.
