The Public Relations Officer of Medeama Sporting Club, Patrick Akoto has said new Asante Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah is desirous to sign Justice Blay.
According to Akoto, Nana Yaw Amponsah has been in constant relations with Medeama SC for the permanent transfer of the defensive midfielder who is valued at $200,000.00.
“It is true we have had official contact from Asante Kotoko on Justice Blay. Nana Yaw Amponsah the new CEO has been in constant relations with us but there are other clubs also involved in negotiations,” Medeama Communications Director, Patrick Akoto informed Nhyira FM.

“We have been on the table since the loan deal expired and it was a letter to request for discussions to finalise a permanent deal for the player but the coronavirus pandemic halted it for a while. These are negotiations and if everything is finalized all supporters of Medeama and Asante Kotoko will be informed,” he added
Justice Blay joined Asante Kotoko on a season loan deal from Medeama before the 2019/20 CAF Champions League campaign.

The defensive midfielder who was extraordinary at Asante Kotoko has returned to Medeama SC following the expiration of the loan deal.
Due to his impeccable performance at Asante Kotoko, management of the Ghana Premier League record holders want to re-sign the former Sekondi Hasaacas midfielder to boost squad for the next season’s CAF Champions League.

Justice Blay capped 13 matches for Asante Kotoko in the just cancelled 2019/20 league season, scoring two goals.
Blay was arguably one of the best players in the just truncated season and undoubtedly, Asante Kotoko best player in the said season.
