About twenty-three (23) Ghanaian players have been left stranded in Ethiopia and are crying to the government for an immediate help.
The players have been left stranded since March 2020 when the Ethiopian league was cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
The players couldn’t return to their homeland (Ghana) when the Ethiopian league was cancelled because of the closure of all Ghanaian borders due to the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus.
Former Black Stars defender Lee Addy alongside ex-Asante Kotoko goalie Muntari Tagoe are among the players left stranded in the East African country.

In a video going viral on social media, the players are calling on the Ghanaian government to airlift them back to Accra because their rent and work permit will be due on June 30, 2020.
It is believed that, former Ghana U-20 goalkeeper Daniel Adjei was among the stranded Ghanaians but has been flown to Holland because he holds Dutch passport.
The players are; Lee Addy, Kweku Andoh, ex-Ashgold Captain, Latif Mohammed, ex-Medeama SC and ex-Kotoko goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe , Rahim Osmanu, Latif Mohammed, Alhassan Nuhu, Fuseini Nuhu, Tuffour Frimpong, Aaron Amoah, Adamu Mohammed and Osei Mawuli.
Others include; Iddrisu Nafiu, Amos Acheampong, Frimpong Manso, Yakubu Mohammed, Isaac Amuzu, Kalusha Alhassan, Richmond Adongo, Adam Masalachi, Isaac Oduro, Bismark Oppong, Bismark Appiah and Asiedu Benjamin Kwesi.
