AshantiGold SC defender, Kwadwo Amoako has disclosed why he has not too many of his teammates as friends.
The talented right-back was speaking on why he has only two of his teammates at AshantiGold as friends on Obuasi-based Aseda FM.[ads2]
According to the Black Stars defender, a former teammate at Eleven Wonders intentionally decided to end his career by breaking his leg without any tangible reason.
He explained that he was competing with that player for the right-back position at Eleven Wonders but he ended up not playing active football for two years with a long-term injury.[ads3]
Speaking in an interview on Aseda FM in Obuasi, Kwadwo Amoako said, ” I don’t have friends, even at AshantiGold, only two players are my friends because I entrusted my former teammate at Eleven Wonders with my life but he ended up betraying me and nearly ended my footballing career.
“I was competing with that player at the same position (right-back) and in one friendly game he was forced to play as a left-back. He became angry and intentionally decided to end my career with an injury. So in that game, I didn’t know why I got injured, before that game, he told one of the players that he will break my leg and truly truly, he did that and I had to stop playing football for two years, it was very serious and disheartening at the same time”, he added.
He concluded that, ” I am still playing active football but he has stopped playing, I don’t know what happened but I told myself that he is not God to decide on my future and currently am playing at the professional level but where is he now.? “[ads5]
