FC Sheriff Tiraspol midfielder, Mudasiru Salifu has earned his first call up to the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar which start later this month.[ads2]
The 25-year old combative midfielder has been named in Black Stars 55-man provisional squad for the tournament in the Asian country.

Salifu has been invited by Black Stars coach Otto Addo following his extraordinary performance for FC Sheriff in the Moldova top-flight league.[ads3]
The former Asante Kotoko midfielder has been exceptional for FC Sheriff since joining the club from Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko in July, 2022.
Salifu has played twenty matches for FC Sheriff in all competitions this season and has been instrumental in the team’s UEFA Europa league.[ads4]
Meanwhile, the 55 players on the Black Stars provisional squad are expected to arrive in Abu Dhabi for final preparations for the World Cup in November 14 where Ghana will play Switzerland in a friendly match on November 17.
Mudasiru Salifu is expected to impress coach Otto Addo in Switzerland friendly match in order to be named in the final 26-man squad for the tournament.[ads5]
