Hearts of Oak have sailed through to the next round of the MTN FA CUP after beating lower tier side Danbort FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Prior to the game, coach Edward Nii Odoom made changes to his usual squad with Richmond Ayi, William Dankyi, Christopher Bonney and Manaf Umar making the starting berths.
Midfielder Frederick Ansah Botchwey scored the opener for the Phobians in the 25th minute of the game.
The midfield dynamo opened his Hearts of Oak account with a low drive from just outside the box to give the home side the lead.

The Phobians continued pressing Danbort for the second goal but all went fruitless as the first half ended 1:0 for the Rainbow giant.
Hearts of Oak returned from the break to dominate possession with substitute Raddy Ovuoka proving deadly at the left wing role instead of his usual defensive role.
In the 60th minute, Joseph Esso netted the double for the Phobians who were brilliant throughout the entire minutes.
Esso capitalized on a defensive blunder to give the Phobians the second goal which was the decider.
