Medeama Sporting Club have confirmed the transfer of right-back Kamaradini Mamudu to Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman, bringing his successful spell with the Mauve and Yellows to a close.
Kamaradini joined Medeama ahead of the 2023/24 season from Tamale City and quickly grew into one of the most influential defenders in the Ghana Premier League. He was a key figure in the club’s historic maiden CAF Champions League campaign, making notable contributions at both ends of the pitch.
Known for his attacking flair, relentless work rate and goal threat, the full-back enjoyed an outstanding period at the Tarkwa-based side. In the 2024/25 GPL season, he finished as the league’s highest-scoring defender with eight goals — a remarkable return for a player in his position. He has continued that fine form this season, already netting five league goals after 20 matches.
With his contract due to expire in June and no agreement reached on an extension, Medeama opted to sanction the transfer as a strategic move, allowing the club to maximise value while supporting the player’s career progression.
Head coach Ibrahim Tanko will now look to Osei Yaw and January recruit Victor Oduro to provide cover and stability at right-back as Medeama continue their push for success in the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup.
Medeama Sporting Club has thanked Kamaradini Mamudu for his professionalism, commitment and outstanding service, and wished him well as he begins the next chapter of his career.
