Sekondi Hasaacas were held to a pulsating goalless draw by New Edubiase in the division one league opener at Sekondi Sports Stadium.

Despite mounting an unease pressure on the defenders of Edubiase, the 1977 Ghana Premier League champions failed to annex the three maximum points.
The first half was a balanced game as both sides showed eagerness to find the opener.
The likes of Sampson Eduku and Philip Flamini tormented the defenders of Edubiase with Theophilus Nyame, John Koomson and Sadique Labanti marshalling the midfield for Hasaacas.
New Edubiase came in strong to find the opener but goalkeeper Anthony Brebo became the hero for Hasmal.

Despite Hasaacas enjoying possession in the dying embers of the game, Edubiase defended gallantly till the blast of the final whistle.
