Hearts of Oak held West African Football Academy (WAFA SC) to a goalless stalemate at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope today.

The Phobians who were warned by the supporters of WAFA prior to the game, due to their unpleasant 5:0 humiliation to the Academy Boys about two seasons ago, fought really well to snatch a point at Sogakope.
The Rainbow giant pilled an unease pressure on the home side in the early minutes of kick off but goalkeeper Fernandez Acquah saved the situation.
Kwadwo Obeng Junior came close to the opener but his shot was nicely saved by WAFA goalie Fernandez Acquah.
The first forty minutes was a balanced game but the two sides failed to net the opener.
The recess begun with both sides creating chances but failed to utilize the opportunities.
In the 65th minute, goalkeeper Richard Attah made a brilliant save to deny WAFA the opener.
Newly signed Nurudeen Abdul Aziz made his debut for Hearts of Oak by replacing Kwadwo Obeng Junior in the 75th minute.

The ninety minutes ended goalless as both sides failed to score in the fascinating encounter.
Andrew Ntim Manu was adjudged the man of the match after his sensational display of the pitch.
