Hasaacas stretched their unbeaten run to seven matches in the ongoing division one league after succumbing Nzema Kotoko to a 2:1 defeat at the Sekondi Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Goals from Sampson Eduku and captain Samuel Abeiku Ainooson annexed all three points for the Giants of the West this afternoon.

As usual, Hasaacas dominated the early minutes of the epic encounter with a terrific performance, mounting an unease pressure on the defenders of visitors.
Sampson Eduku shot Hasaacas to the lead with an early minutes stunner to unsettle the Nzema based outfit.
Kotoko in their last visit to Hasaacas at the Sekondi Sports Stadium emerged victorious which was the MTN FA Cup and were confident of pulling a surprise despite the early minute goal from Sampson Eduku.

Coach Henry Wellington’s side quickly regrouped and started warming themselves up into game.
The likes of Akesse Akesse, Agyenim Boateng, Nicholas Deku and Felix Ackah proved deadly upfront but a resilient Hasaacas defense of Samuel Abeiku Ainooson, Nana Egyir, Nathaniel Eshun and Isaac Asare sustained the pressure till the end of the first half whistle.
The recess begun with Nzema Kotoko tormenting the defenders of Hasaacas but all to no avail.

A goalkeeping blunder from Micheal Kwoffie saw striker Akesse Akesse restoring parity for the visitors from his low headed ball.
Few minutes after the equaliser, Hasaacas midfielder Theophilus Nyame was shown the red card following his unprofessional act towards an Nzema Kotoko player.
Though they were down by a man, Hasaacas continued pushing forward until defender Abeiku Ainooson shot them to the lead again in the dying embers of the game.
Nzema Kotoko protested about the goal from Abeiku Ainooson, claiming the ball didn’t cross the line. This led to striker Akesse Akesse shown the red card after ‘insulting the referee’.
Hasaacas stood to their ground in the last ten additional minutes to defend the 2:1 lead.
