Honorable Isaac Asiamah, the Youth and Sports Minister has called on the Ghanaian sporting fraternity not to pay attention to the fallacious promises made by the NDC flagbearer John Mahama in his manifesto.
According to Honorable Isaac Asiamah, Mahama has nothing better to offer Ghana sports, judging from his era as the President of the republic.
This comes following Mr. Mahama’s assurance to massively support Ghanaian clubs that will participate in the CAF inter-club competitions.

The Communications Director of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi is also said to assured that Ghanaian players (locally-based) will be pocketing as low as GH¢1,500.00 monthly when the NDC is voted to power in the forthcoming general elections.
But Honorable Isaac Asiamah who has been applauded for his extraordinary works at the Youth and Sports Ministry since assuming office, believes Mr. Mahama and his NDC are only promising but can’t fulfill them when given the seat as President of the republic.

The Atwima Mponua legislator believes Mr. Mahama made huge promises in 2012 prior to the general elections but when given the seat, he couldn’t even fulfill any despite Ghanaians invoking their trusts in him…
“Didn’t we have premiership clubs in 2013, where was Kotoko, Hearts and Ashgold in 2013, didn’t they participate in CAF competitions but this man [John Mahama] gave them nothing and this same person is promising to help the same clubs when voted to power again… They are all lies… President Akufo-Addo has been supporting the clubs about a tune of $150,000 since becoming the President and it’s a fact”, Honorable Asiamah said…

“It sad when I heard our former president speaking in sports. He has been President before and we all saw his performance, very abysmal. He promised huge for Ghana sports in 2012 before the elections but when he was given the nod… He promised 20 multipurpose sports complexes but where are they.. He has nothing better to offer Ghana sports”, he added.
