Staunch member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Otchere-Darko had threw a word of advise to the party fellows after losing the speaker of Parliament seat to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The NPP had their candidate Professor Mike Aaron Oquaye losing the speaker of the 8th Parliament seat to the NDC’s Alban Bagbin with about two votes.[ads2]
Hours after the election comes with all sorts of allegations with some members of the NPP Parliamentarians accused of not voting for Mike Aaron Oquaye rather Alban Bagbin of the NDC.
Names like Adwoa Safo, Kennedy Agyapong, Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh and others have popped up as those who allegedly didn’t vote for the NPP’s Mike Aaron Oquaye rather Alban Bagbin of the NDC.[ads3]
But Gabby Otchere-Darko who is also a nephew to President Akufo-Addo has called on the NPP to discourage the allegations and move ahead as a solid group.
“Let us be careful. The sins of an unknown two should not be visited on a known 138. The reckless and unsubstantiated allegations must be discouraged. Lessons we must learn for sure and we must forge ahead as a solid group”, Otchere-Darko tweeted.[ads5]
