Division One League side Goldstars FC have asked their head coach Kwabena Amissah to step aside until further notice.
According to coach Kwabena Amissah, he has been asked to step aside following the team’s two straight defeat in the ongoing division one league season.[ads2]
Revealing the news to Takoradi based Connect FM, coach Kwabena Amissah said, “It doesn’t make sense to tell a coach to step aside after drawing two games at home. All teams competing to qualify have drawn games at home, we were not going to be on top forever.”[ads3]
The renowned Ghanaian tactician added that, ‘The team would have qualified to the Premier League if the supporters know how to do football. Management of Gold Stars have given me the letter to step aside but I don’t know the reason – there is no reason in the letter they gave me. My absence won’t affect the team because it is the same players.”[ads4]
Kwabena Amissah was appointed the head coach of Goldstars in 2018 after leaving Ghana Premier League outfit Elmina Sharks.[ads5]
