Chairman of SHAMA District Football Association George Kuntu Blankson has bowed out of the race for the Western Region Football Association Executive Committee race.

Mr. Kuntu Blankson who is also an astute sports broadcaster was competing with Amenfi West District FA Chairman John Dadzie for the remaining slot to represent the district football associations on the Executive Committee.
The two had a tie during the Executive Committee elections few months ago and had to be separated in an election today at the Western Region Football Association Ordinary Congress.

At the Congress today, George Kuntu Blankson confirmed his withdrawal from the race.
This means that, Mr. John Dadzie has automatically fill the last slot for the District Football Association slots on the Executive Committee.
